--Stellantis has informed its local union that it will shutter its Windsor assembly plant in Canada for two weeks as a result of Donald Trump's sweeping new tariff plan, according to a report from The Toronto Star.

--The maker of Jeep and Dodge vehicles told the union that it would be shuttering the plant starting on April 7 and that "more changes to the schedule [are] expected in coming weeks," Toronto Star reports.

--In a memo to members, Unifor Local 444 president James Stewart said he was notified of the closure after Trump's Rose Garden announcement on reciprocal tariffs and that the tariffs were the "primary driver behind the final decision," according to the report.

--Stellantis didn't respond to the outlet's request for comment.
