US equity futures were lower pre-bell Wednesday as traders awaited President Donald Trump's tariff policy announcement.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were down 0.5%, S&P 500 futures declined 0.6%, and Nasdaq futures were 0.8% lower.
The White House is scheduled to unveil Trump's latest import levy plans at 4 pm ET.
Oil prices fell, with front-month global benchmark North Sea Brent crude down 0.5% at $74.09 per barrel and US West Texas Intermediate crude 0.5% lower at $70.85 per barrel.
Private payrolls based on ADP Institute's employment report, scheduled for release at 8:15 am ET, are seen rising by 118,000 in March after a 77,000 increase in February, according to estimates compiled by Bloomberg.
Factory orders, due at 10 am ET, are expected to have risen by 0.5% in February after January's 1.7% increase.
