Pony AI (PONY) said Thursday its European unit has received a permit from Luxembourg's transport ministry to begin trials of self-driving vehicles.
The company said this expands its international testing operations, which already include programs in China, the United States, and South Korea.
Road testing of the level 4 autonomous cars will be conducted in partnership with Emile Weber, a local transit provider, Pony AI said. The vehicles let occupants act as passengers, but still retain the option for control.
Shares of the company were down 5.3% in recent Thursday premarket activity.
