President Trump's tariffs are helping to keep up production at a car plant in Tennessee. Nissan Motor had said in January that it planned to go down to one shift from two at a Smyrna, Tenn., factory that makes the Rogue midsize crossover SUV. On Friday, the carmaker said it would maintain two shifts after all, aiming to shore up local production in the U.S. since tariffs will affect cars imported from Mexico and Japan.
