BlockBeats News, April 8th, according to Decrypt's report, a cryptocurrency lawyer believes that the U.S. government may hold the key to revealing the identity of Bitcoin's creator, Satoshi Nakamoto. On April 7th, James Murphy filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), claiming that the department knows the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto.
Murphy stated that his lawsuit aims to obtain information about a senior agent who in 2019 claimed that DHS had interviewed Satoshi Nakamoto. He referenced agent Rana Saoud's comments, stating that the agent had traveled to California to speak with Satoshi Nakamoto and several others to understand the workings of Bitcoin.
Murphy believes that if the interview did take place, there should be records of it. He has requested that DHS disclose all related documents, including transcripts, interview records, and any potential evidence. If DHS refuses to disclose, Murphy has stated that he will continue to pursue the case until this mystery is unraveled.
