Capricorn Metals (ASX:CMM) produced 30,599 ounces of gold at its Karlawinda project in Western Australia in the March quarter, rising from 28,702 gold ounces in the December 2024 quarter, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

It said that it is on track to achieve the mid-point of its fiscal year guidance of 110,000 ounces to 120,000 ounces, the filing said.

It advanced the process plant design scope for the Karlawinda expansion project during the period and continued procurement works of critical path items, with the ball mill and crusher packages committed in the quarter, with early expenditure totaling AU$2.6 million.

The mining proposal and mine closure plans for the expansion project were completed and submitted to the Western Australian Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety for assessment.

It spent AU$4.6 million on development activities at the Mt Gibson gold project, also in Western Australia.
