0803 GMT - Shell doesn't expect to take a final investment decision on Phase 2 of its LNG Canada project until 2026, RBC Capital Markets analysts write after hosting an investor event with the energy company's president of integrated gas. Canadian elections later this month could complicate the process as Shell will need assurances from the provincial and federal government on long-term policy stability, they say. While some of the required infrastructure was built during Phase 1, further investment is needed to increase gas compression on the pipeline from Groundbirch to the LNG facility, the analysts say. Shares trade 1.6 % higher at 2,408.50 pence. (adam.whittaker@wsj.com)
