Mithril Silver and Gold (ASX:MTH) said a second drill began drilling at the target 2 resource area as part of a district-defining 35,000-meter drill program at its Copalquin silver and gold district property in Mexico, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.
It said drilling at the target 1 resource area successfully returned a high-grade result of 2.9 meters at 9.06 grams per tonne grade of gold, 10.6 g/t grade of silver, from 339.6 meters. Due to its successful ongoing drilling in the area, the resource drilling cut-off has been extended to late May.
The first of a series of deep drill holes was completed on the eastern side of the resource area.
Its shares jumped 11% in recent trading on Thursday.
