Samsung Electronics (KRX:005930) and Google Cloud are partnering to integrate Gemini's generative AI into Ballie, Samsung's new AI home companion robot launching this year, the electronics products maker said Wednesday.

Ballie will use Gemini's multimodal reasoning and Samsung's own language models to interact naturally with users, manage home environments, and offer personalized advice on health, routines, and style.

The latest AI collaboration comes after Gemini's integration into the Galaxy S24 series, according to the release.

Shares of Samsung Electronics rose nearly 5% in recent trade on Thursday.
