Singapore Technologies Engineering's (SGX:S63) Urban Solutions business was awarded a turnkey rail services contract for a new Taichung MRT Blue Line worth SG$1.4 billion by the Rapid Transit System Bureau of Taichung City Government, Taiwan.
The contract will span 14 years and is expected to start during the second quarter of the year, according to a company release on Thursday.
Under the contract, the company will lead the project management, systems integration and provide critical elements to the development of an above-ground train depot.
