0958 ET - Amazon CEO Andy Jassy lays out some of the company's leadership principles in a letter to shareholders, touching on one in particular that says "leaders are right a lot." He explains that good leaders have strong judgment and instincts, who seek diverse perspectives and work to "disconfirm their beliefs." He goes on to say that the principle has incorrectly led some people to assume that the best leaders are the ones whose ideas are chosen, which led to people "overly digging in and fighting for their ideas." Instead, good leaders are the ones who hear others' views, Jassy says. "Ultimately, leaders are responsible for getting to the best answer for customers, regardless of whose original idea is chosen," he says. (dean.seal@wsj.com)
