1825 ET - Kura Sushi, which sources fish and ingredients abroad, has been having conversations with its suppliers about mitigating the impacts of tariffs. But the chain thinks it has an advantage over smaller sushi restaurants that don't have its scale advantage. "As shocked as we were by the magnitude of the tariffs, we're certain that every other mom and pop sushi restaurant was just as shocked, if not more shocked," the chain said in a 2Q earnings call. Kura's shares rise 2% in after-market trading. (heather.haddon@wsj.com; @heatherhaddon)
