General Motors (GM) will cease production of the gasoline-powered Cadillac XT6 crossover by year-end at its Spring Hill, Tennessee, assembly plant, CNBC reported Tuesday, citing an internal memo confirmed by the company.
The company will continue production of the smaller Cadillac XT5 at least until end-2026, the report said.
The moves are unrelated to tariffs and are part of plans for the brand to shift to all-electric cars, crossovers and SUVs, a spokesman said, according to the report.
The internal memo said "strong customer demand" underpinned XT5 production, which was expected to end this year, the report said.
GM didn't immediately respond to a comment request from MT Newswires.
