Aurumin (ASX:AUN) started reverse circulation drilling at its Johnson Range project, part of the Sandstone gold project, in Western Australia, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The drilling aims to validate and infill the Gwendolyn deposit, increase geological confidence in inferred resources, support future upgrades to indicated classification, and, if successful, lead to mining studies, the filing said.
The drilling is expected to be completed within five days, with assays anticipated for mid-May, according to the filing.
Shares were up 7% in afternoon trade Wednesday.
