Meta Platforms (META) said Monday it plans to train its artificial intelligence models on public posts and comments shared by adults in the European Union on its platforms as well as on interactions with Meta AI.
Meta said the move is aimed at training its generative AI models to understand the nuances of European culture.
Users of Meta's platforms in the EU will start receiving notifications about the plan this week and can choose to object to their data being used, the technology firm said.
