Financial stocks leaned lower premarket Wednesday as the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) slightly declined by 0.3% recently.
The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was down 1.2% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was 1% higher.
Travelers (TRV) shares rose 3% after the company reported Q1 core income above expectations.
Commerce Bancshares (CBSH) shares advanced by over 2% after the company reported higher Q1 net income and revenue.
U.S. Bancorp (USB) shares were up 1% after the company reported higher Q1 earnings and revenue.
