MercadoLibre (MELI) said Tuesday it will hire 28,000 additional employees in Latin America in 2025, with its global headcount set to reach 112,000 by the end of the year.
Around 21,700 of the new positions will focus on logistics, with the rest to be in technology, the company said.
Alongside its hiring plans, MercadoLibre intends to invest $13.20 billion across Latin America this year, Bloomberg News reported, citing a company official.
The investment and hiring will support the firm's logistics network, speeding up and lowering the cost of deliveries, and will drive further development in technology and products, the news outlet reported.
