Microsoft-backed (MSFT) OpenAI is developing a new social network similar to X with a focus on ChatGPT's image generation features, The Verge reported Tuesday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

The project is still at an early stage, but there is an internal prototype with a social feed and OpenAI Chief Executive Sam Altman has been quietly asking people outside the company for feedback on this project, according to the report.

OpenAI and Microsoft did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
