Kroger named a new head of its retail divisions as it appointed new presidents of three of its grocery chains.

The supermarket chain on Tuesday said it appointed Joe Kelley as the senior vice president of retail divisions at a time when the company is working to shuffle its supply chain due to tariffs threats and growing consumer demand for fresh products.

Kelley, who joined Kroger in 2019, succeeds Kenny Kimball, who will be returning to the Utah-based Smith's business as president.

As a result, Kroger named Chris Albi as the president of King Soopers and City Markets.

The company also appointed Kendra Doyel as the president of Food 4 Less to replace Bryan Kaltenbach, who is retiring.

Other Kroger grocery chains beyond its namesake business include Roundy's, Ralphs, Mariano's and Dillons.
