Warner Music Group (WMG) said Monday it has appointed Armin Zerza as chief financial officer, effective May 5.

Zerza will join the company from Activision Blizzard, where he most recently served as CFO, Warner Music said, adding that he will succeed Bryan Castellani, who will serve as finance chief through May 5 and will remain as an adviser for a smooth transition.

Shares of the company were up 3.1% in recent Monday premarket activity.
