Nissan to Cut Japanese Production of Popular U.S. Model in Response to Trump Tariffs, Reuters Reports

-- Japanese automaker Nissan plans to reduce domestic production of one of its most popular models in the U.S. in response to Trump's 25% import tariff, according to Reuters, citing an unidentified person familiar with the matter.

-- According to the report, Nissan will cut Japanese production of its Rogue SUV model by 13,000 units at Kyushu plant throughout the months of May and July, the source says.

-- The U.S. is Nissan's largest market, the report says, making up more than a quarter of the company's vehicle sales last year.
