China Eastern Airlines (HKG:0670, SHA:600115) passenger count rose 6.7% to 11.7 million in March from 11 million a year ago, according to a Tuesday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.

Freight carried rose increased 3.4% to 88,390 tonnes from 85,490 tonnes.

Passenger capacity rose 6.6% to 24.9 billion available seat kilometers in March from 23.3 billion available seat kilometers a year earlier.

Cargo capacity increased 8.1% to 863.5 million available freight tonne-kilometers from 798.6 million available freight tonne-kilometers, the filing said.
