0904 ET - Curaleaf has entered the brick-and-mortar market for hemp-derived THC, a class of products with legal support from the 2018 Farm Bill that generally compete against cannabis and have become more widespread in recent years. The cannabis company says it has turned one of its Florida storefronts into The Hemp Company, which will sell hemp-derived THC beverages and products without the need for a medical cannabis card. This comes after a ballot initiative in Florida to legalize recreational cannabis failed to reach the 60% threshold it needed to pass last November. (dean.seal@wsj.com)
