Mermaid Maritime Expands Fleet with Four WROVs; Shares Up 4%

Mermaid Maritime (SGX:DU4) subsidiary Mermaid Subsea Services purchased four newbuild Argus electric work-class remote-operated vehicles (WROVs) from Norway-based Argus Remote Systems.

The WROVs are scheduled for delivery during the third quarter of the year, according to a filing with the Singapore Exchange on Wednesday.

Total consideration for the acquisition is around 11 million euros and is part of efforts to expand the group's global footprint.

Shares of the company were up nearly 4% in recent trading.
