CGI (GIB) said Thursday that its Advantage Enterprise Resource Planning, or ERP, offering has become the first ERP system to receive GovRAMP Authorized status.

The State of Arizona acted as the government sponsor for the authorization, the company said.

GovRAMP certification provides a standardized process for verifying cloud security, allowing public sector organizations to protect data such as personal information and payment details while complying with regulatory requirements, CGI added.

CGI also said the certification validates compliance with security protocols set by the National Institute of Standards and Technology, simplifying risk management and improving security assurance.
