Allstate (ALL) said Thursday that its estimated catastrophe losses for March reached $1.04 billion, or $818 million after tax.

The catastrophe losses included 11 events, with 80% of the losses linked to four geographically widespread wind and hail events, the company said.

Allstate said it had 37.7 million protection policies in force for March, roughly the same compared with March last year.
