Asian Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Open Week Lower

Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts opened the week lower Monday morning, declining 0.7% to 1,977.1 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.

From North Asia, the gainers were led by online education platform 51Talk Online Education Group (COE) and financial services company CNFinance (CNF), which climbed 7.4% and 7.2% respectively. They were followed by utilities company Korea Electric Power (KEP) and used car ecommerce platform Uxin (UXIN), which were up 4.1% and 1.3% respectively.

The decliners from North Asia were led by consumer lending firm Eason Technology (DXF) and consumer lending firm LexinFintech (LX), which fell 10.3% and 7.1% respectively. They were followed by automotive ecommerce platform Token Cat (TC) and polysilicon manufacturer Daqo New Energy (DQ), which dropped 6.2% and 4.6% respectively.

From South Asia, the gainers were led by financial services company HDFC Bank (HDB) and IT firm Infosys (INFY), which rose 2.7% and 2.5% respectively. They were followed by financial services company ICICI Bank (IBN) and IT firm Sify Technologies (SIFY), which increased 1.6% and 1.2% respectively.

The lone decliner from South Asia was tech conglomerate Sea (SE), which was down 2.2%
