Amazon (AMZN) has halted some talks over leasing data centers for its cloud services division, Reuters reported Monday citing a Wells Fargo report.
The extent of Amazon's move was unclear, but was similar to a recent retreat by Microsoft (MSFT), the report said.
Kevin Miller, vice president of Amazon Web Services Global Data Centers, downplayed the move in a post on LinkedIn. "This is routine capacity management, and there haven't been any recent fundamental changes in our expansion plans," he said.
Amazon did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
