Nvidia (NVDA) Chief Executive Jensen Huang met with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba to lobby for more electrical power for artificial intelligence applications, Bloomberg reported Monday.

"The country needs to build new infrastructure," Bloomberg cited Huang as telling reporters after the meeting. "Energy is essential for all industrial growth."

Nvidia and the Japanese prime minister's office did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
