Hertz Global Holdings $(HTZ)$: Hertz shares dropped over 6% in premarket trading following a huge rally last week prompted by hedge-fund manager Bill Ackman's firm disclosing a significant stake in the rental-car company.
Microstrategy $(MSTR)$: Crypto-sensitive stocks, including bitcoin hoarder Microstrategy, rose after bitcoin rebounded Monday to its highest level since early March.
Capital One Financial $(COF)$: The credit-card issuer's shares gained over 4% ahead of the opening bell after bank regulators approved its $35-billion acquisition of rival Discover $(DFS)$ late Friday. Discover shares also rose in light trading.
Regional banks Comerica $(CMA)$ and Zions Bancorp $(ZION)$ are due to report earnings before markets open.
Tesla $(TSLA)$ is scheduled to publish results Tuesday. The automaker's shares fell almost 3% premarket Monday.
