Energy stocks rose pre-bell Thursday as the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) advanced by 0.4% recently.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was up 1% and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was 1.9% lower.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 1.5% at $63.21 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil gained 1.3% to $66.01 per barrel. Natural gas futures were 1.8% lower at $2.968 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
TechnipFMC (FTI) shares advanced by nearly 4% after the company reported higher Q1 adjusted earnings and revenue.
