US stock futures were tracking lower in Friday's premarket session ahead of the University of Michigan's consumer sentiment and expectations index readings, which are set to be released at 10:00 am EDT.

Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were down 0.4%, S&P 500 futures were off 0.2%, and Nasdaq futures were moving 0.3% lower.

Oil prices were moving lower, with front-month global benchmarks North Sea Brent falling 1.2% to $64.85 per barrel, and US West Texas Intermediate crude falling 1.2% to $62.02 per barrel.

Both the Michigan Consumer Sentiment and the Michigan Consumer Expectations indices for April are expected to drop sharply, with the former forecast to fall to 50.8 from 57.0 in March, while the latter is projected to drop to 47.2 from 52.6, according to Bloomberg.

On the losing side, shares of Citizens (CIA) plunged 27%, adding to a nearly 6% loss Thursday. Intensity Therapeutics (INTS) shares tumbled 26%, piling on to a 31% loss the previous session.
