BYD (SHE:002594, HKG:1211) recorded a 100% rise in attributable profit in the first quarter to 9.15 billion yuan from 4.57 billion yuan a year prior, a Friday filing with the Hong Kong bourse said.
Earnings per share stood at 3.12 yuan in the three months, up from 1.57 yuan in the year-ago period.
The automaker's operating revenue rose 36% to 170.4 billion yuan from 124.9 billion yuan previously.
