Patel Engineering (NSE:PATELENG, BOM:531120) emerged as the lowest bidder for an order worth 7.18 billion Indian rupees from the North Eastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO), according to a Friday filing to the Indian bourses.
The contract is for the 240 MW HEO Hydro Electric Project located in Arunachal Pradesh, India, which is expected to generate 1,000 million units (MU) of energy annually.
Under the contract, the work includes construction of civil and associated infrastructure works, testing and commissioning of hydro-mechanical plant and machinery.
The project is scheduled to be completed in 44 months.
