Canyon Resources Limited, together with its subsidiaries, explores for gold and bauxite properties in West Africa. The company holds interests in the Tao project, the Pinarello project, and the Konkolikan project located in Burkina Faso; and the Minim Martap project located in the Adamawa region of Cameroon. It also has an option to acquire a 75% interest in the Birsok Bauxite project covering an area of 1,462 square kilometers comprising two permits located in central Cameroon. The company was formerly known as Castlemaine Resources Limited and changed its name to Canyon Resources Limited in March 2010.
