Tiger Brokers purchases A-share securities (referred to as A-shares) in the Shanghai and Shenzhen markets through the "Shanghai Connect" and "Shenzhen Connect" mechanisms. For specific rules of the HKEX, please refer to: Shanghai-Hong Kong and Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect Mechanisms.
1.Which securities are tradable?
For a specific list of eligible stocks, please refer to the HKEX website: All Eligible Securities.
Only A-shares and ETFs are included in the Shanghai Connect and Shenzhen Connect. Other products such as B-shares, bonds, and other securities are temporarily not in the tradable stocks.
2.Which trading days are available?
Northbound trading is only available from Monday to Friday, when all three markets (SSE, SZSE, and HKEX) are open, and settlement services are available on the cash settlement day (T+1) in both markets. For specific Northbound trading calendars, click to view the HKEX Calendar.
3.What is the trading hours?
Follow the trading hours of the Shanghai Exchange and Shenzhen Exchange. From Monday to Friday, when all three markets (SSE, SZSE, and HKEX) are open:

Orders that are not matched during the opening call auction period will automatically enter the continuous trading period.
4.What is the tick size?
Tick size for stocks: 0.01 RMB
Tick size for ETFs: 0.001 RMB
5.What is the units per lot and odd lot?
Minimum order quantity: 100 shares per lot
Only sell orders can have odd lots; all odd lots will be sold as a single sell order.
Buy orders must be placed in whole lots. However, because fractional share sell orders and other buy and sell orders are paired on the same trading platform, customers may experience fractional shares when their buy orders are finally executed.
The maximum buy/sell order quantity per transaction: 1,000,000 shares.
6.Is there any price limitation?
Price limits on daily price fluctuations
Generally, not exceeding ±10% of the previous day's closing price.
For A-shares listed on the risk alert board (ST and *ST stocks), the price limit is ±5%.
Lower price limit for buy orders
Buy orders must not be lower than a specified percentage of the reference price.
Reference Price: The current best bid price. If there is no best bid price, then use the latest price. If there is neither the current best bid price nor the latest price, then use the close price of the previous day.
Dynamic price monitoring (applies only during continuous trading)
Buy orders: The price must not exceed 102% of the benchmark price.
Benchmark Price: The current best ask price. If there is no best ask price, then use the best bid price. If there is neither the best ask price nor the best bid price, then use the latest price. If there is no best ask price, best bid price, and latest price, then use the closing price of the previous day.
Sell orders: The price must not be lower than 98% of the benchmark price.
Benchmark Price: The current best bid price. If there is no best bid price, then use the best ask price. If there is neither the best bid price nor the best ask price, then use the latest price. If there is no best bid price, best ask price, and latest price, then use the close price of the previous day.
7.What order types are supported?
The HKEX supports only intraday limit orders and does not support order modifications.
Advanced order functions are available for placing orders outside of trading hours.
If using the modification function, Tiger will cancel the original unexecuted order before placing a new order.
If using market orders, Tiger will submit limit orders based on market conditions.
8.What is the settlement rules?
All transactions and settlements are conducted in RMB.
Stocks purchased on a given day cannot be sold on the same day; selling can be done on T+1.
Funds obtained from selling stocks on a given day cannot be withdrawn on the same day but can be used for further trading.
9.Is short selling supported?
Not supported.
10.Is margin trading supported?
Supported.
11.Is trading of the SSE STAR Market and SZSE ChiNext Market supported?
Trading of ChiNext shares and STAR shares is permitted for institutional professional investors only.
